Impact Landscaping creates high-end outdoor spaces for people who want it all.

As July marks the halfway point of summer, homeowners in Northeast Ohio are looking for ways to squeeze in more days and evenings enjoying cookouts, social gatherings or just chilling in the back yard. Summer always seems to fly by, so it’s important to find ways to extend the fun well into the later months of the year
One homeowner in Wadsworth did just that, with help from Impact Landscaping.
A local landscaping and home improvement company, Impact is known for its stunning landscapes featuring stone, wood and water in its designs that are visually harmonious with nature.
“This project really showcases all that we offer, as it features a pool, pavilion, patio and fireplace—all connected by stamped concrete and softened with landscaping beds,” says Jeff Heinl, vice president of Impact.
While this back yard is quite grand, it is all the little details that add up to make a big impact. From fountains that arc streams of water across the pool illuminated by changing color lights, to stamped concrete that mimics hardwood planks, to a pavilion with a vaulted ceiling clad in wood, every element was thoughtfully designed.
And the best part? You don’t need a sprawling property to achieve this kind of transformation. This particular home sits on just a half-acre lot—proof that smart design can make any space feel expansive and luxurious.
“We truly can design and build everything you need for outdoor entertaining,” says Jeff, noting they have a staff of 50 experienced contractors and landscapers. “We help homeowners create a vision and then make it happen. We are the visionaries, designers and contractors. We do it all.”
While the pool commands center stage in the Wadsworth back yard featured in this story, the pavilion is the most-used space, offering comfort and functionality nearly year-round. The 20-by-20-foot pavilion is attached to the house, and adjacent is a sunken-in stamped concrete patio with a fire pit.
“When you build a pavilion attached to the house, it really becomes an extension of your home,” Jeff says. “It is so inviting to walk outside and step into another room that is part of your house but is just open air. For this homeowner, we built a cultured stone fireplace and chimney flanking the pavilion and an island with bar-height stools and a beverage refrigerator, plus space for patio furniture.”
With its stonework and cedar-wrapped posts, the structure blends with nature. Another nod to nature, a basalt water column was built in the ground between the pool and the sunken patio to create a visually appealing and calming display of flowing water.
To soften up all the hardscapes, new landscaping beds with low-voltage lighting were installed around the patio and pool.
Essentially a home builder for outdoor spaces, Impact Landscaping specializes in creating high-end entertaining spaces.
“We work with each homeowner to personalize their space,” Jeff says. “When I meet with a homeowner, the first question I ask is: What do you like to do outside? Whether it’s playing with kids, entertaining guests, relaxing or just sitting around a fire, how a homeowner uses their yard dictates on how we design it.”
“Our company’s integrity is the driving force in all we do—and what truly sets us apart,” he adds. “We are honest and we do what we say we are going to do. This simple philosophy has proven to be the key to our success over the years.”
